Registration Requirements

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

An individual who is requesting access as the webmaster of a site, is required to be registered with the Boy Scouts of America by filling out an adult application and be age 21 or older. A background check will be made of all adults, as indicated on the front cover of the application. No access will be granted until the adult application is approved and on file. The position of Webmaster is not an official BSA position. Registration as a Merit Badge Counselor or as a Tiger Partner is not sufficient. Registered youth may be involved in the design of a site, but they are not to have knowledge of the password or access to the server. All publishing is to be handled by the adult webmaster.

Individuals who take over the position of webmaster of a site hosted under a domain owned by Orange County Council, and have not followed procedures in being registered as a webmaster, by filling out the "web site request form" will have the web site locked until procedure is followed.
