Site Access/Security
Submitted by Admin on Thu, 02/07/2008 - 11:01pm
Maintenance and upgrade issues are the responsibility of the hosting service. Due to maintenance needs or problems beyond our control, the server may be inaccessible on occasion. Requests to resolve site problems will be handled as quickly as possible. Attempts to circumvent these procedures or gain access to the server without authorization can be grounds for removal of the web site and/or the removal of the BSA membership(s) of those involved. The hosting service may also pursue legal action against those involved.
Each web site on the server is protected by a login ID and a password. These are to be kept private for the use of the webmaster only and are not to be given to anyone else. In the event that a webmaster is stepping down and turning the site over to someone else, the new webmaster must fill out the site request form indicating that they are assuming responsibility for the site. The incoming webmaster will choose a new password. This form is also used if the webmaster forgets the password, has a change of Email, phone or mailing address. The form is also used to request removal as a webmaster. Webmasters who fail to protect their password and jeopardize the security of the server on a repeated basis, may have their web sites removed.
